Staircase

An exciting project involving a two-storey space in Norfolk with a central teak staircase, which was turned into a domed skycape with cumulus and cirrostratus clouds. Painting was from floor to ceiling on two levels including a foyer with unique architectural forms.

Walls and ceilings of warm pastel blues fade lighter at the base in an ombre effect overlaid by clouds blushing with hints of purples – all in emulsion paints. At the turn of the staircase is an orange tree in acrylic and gold leaf and around the space are five barn swallows in flight, also in acrylic.
